Soma – Psyche - Psychosomatics

Stress, anxiety or just challenging experiences belong to the companions of our life. How we react to them is very different. Through terrible and horrific experiences  a trauma can arise. If we are locked in a pattern of behavior which gets fixated,  physical and emotional problems can evolve. Body and mind respond with messages such as
muscle tension, dizziness, pain, insomnia, abdominal and gynecological problems, circulatory disorders, respiratory and heart problems, depression, panic attacks, anxiety, persisting conflicts,  emotional outbursts, unreality feelings( spaced out) or  feelings of inner emptiness.

In the therapy, we ask ourselves: "What influence did certain incidents in life have in our somatic and psychological well-being". The body expression is considered a resource, which brings, along with interviews, the therapeutic process forward. Through that, we get more aware about our behavior toward ourselves and others. This allows us to feel, think and act more authentic.

The improvement also affects the muscles and joints, as well as the internal organs. When we find words for what happens inside, we can more easily say "Yes" or "No" and therefore better put boundaries. By being aware of the presence, the pressure of the past is reduced.

Many people learn through therapy to experience a  more valuable sense of life and some experience  a deeper, spiritual meaning in their lives.
